I got a few old conference bags from a woman at my church, here they are done up and ready for shopping. I just love the recycling aspect of transforming these forgotten ol bags into a attractive tote! I have lost count of how many of these I have made, they sure are fun.

ReplyDeleteA conference bag is a free bag that is often given away at conferences or professional meetings. After a few years of going to meetings or conferences many women find they have a lot of these bags that they don't really use for anything. Some of them are pretty nice canvas bags but they have words or advertisements printed on them that one may or may not want to continue to look at.
My friend Merrill retired recently and it was her idea that I could recycle her bags by adding a nice pocket to cover the words on the bags.
I was leaving the farmers market this morning and in the distance I saw a woman carrying one of my bags to market. What a great feeling!
